Your privacy is important to AAVL. To protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices.

The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on AAVL’s website. On some pages, you can order our cookbook, send our officers email messages, register to join AAVL, or make a donation. The types of personal information collected at these pages may be any or all of the following:

• Name
• Address
• Phone Number
• Email Address
• Vision Status
• Preferred Reading Method
• Credit/Debit Card Information (submitted on the PayPal interface)

The credit and payment services we utilize to process your information have their own privacy statements which may be different from those found on our website. It is therefore recommended that you carefully read the privacy statements located on these other sites to help protect your privacy.

How We Use Your Information

We do not share the information you provide with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete any transaction requested by you.  However, if you choose to complete our online membership form to become a member of AAVL, we will share the information you provide on the form with the American Council of the Blind.
 
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties or collected in a database.  However, we will save your email address in our membership file and provide it to the American Council of the Blind if you provide it on our online membership form when you choose to join AAVL through our website.
